DRIVER TRAINING
midas
The nationally recognised gold standard for driver training for Community Transport, Schools and Colleges is called MiDAS (minibus driver awareness scheme)
DRIVER TRAINING
Developed by Hampshire County Council and the Community Transport Association (CTA) this straightforward course covers the theory, safety and legal requirements for using a minibus on the roads, as well as a practical assessment of each candidate’s driving.
Since it’s inception, 30 years ago, over 20,000 drivers each year have taken the course, and training covers both accessible and non-accessible vehicles.
Successful candidates are issued with certificates from the CTA which are valid for 4 years.
Little White Bus has its own certificated MiDAS Driver Assessor Trainer (DAT) and we offer courses to any relevant organisation across North Yorkshire and County Durham.
If you own, or have access to a minibus and would like to reassure your passengers that your drivers have been trained to the national standard, please e-mail: lwb.operations@udcp.co.uk for further information, or call 01969 667400 for a chat.
