Rooted in the Dales, Driven by Community
The Little White Bus is a community transport provider operating in the Upper Dales of
Wensleydale and Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Driven by a combination of wonderful volunteers and paid drivers we provide scheduled bus services 6 days a week from Garsdale Station to Hawes, Hawes to Leyburn and Keld to Richmond.
We also provide a weekly service from Richmond to Northallerton and day trips from Hawes or Richmond between Spring and Autumn each year.
For some of these passengers it is the only social interaction they get each week. For some it is where they have met new friends, some of them even going on holiday together.
It is so much more than “just a bus service”, it is the social network that helps to connect and maintain life in the remote villages of the Upper Dales.

Red Squirrels
Discover the Widdale Red Squirrel Reserve
The Snaizeholme red squirrel viewing area lies in the heart of the Widdale Red Squirrel Reserve.
Although coniferous woodland is an ideal habitat for red squirrels, they can be tricky to see in such densely planted woodlands.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and local landowners have created the red squirrel viewing area for the public at Snaizeholme, so you can see them in the wild.
The viewpoint and surrounding woodland offer an excellent chance of getting superb views of red squirrels as they visit a feeder in a woodland clearing.

LWB Excursions
Days Out to Remember
Little White Bus is pleased to offer a wide range of day excursions throughout the year.
Excursions will depart from several locations including Hawes, Richmond and many of the local villages and destinations include popular shopping and leisure locations.
Dales Jumper
This Shuttle Bus will take you from Hawes to Reeth on a Friday during Summer. Leaving Hawes Board Inn at 9am and arriving at Reeth for 12:15. The return journey from Reeth is 14:45 from Reeth Bus Shelter.
