Route 113 Update, Garsdale Shuttle To confirm from tomorrow all pick-ups from Hardraw will become Book in Advance for the duration of the road closure at Brunk Acres. We will take phone calls on the day for this service, ring the bus on the usual number. If we pick someone up at the station and wants to go to Hardraw, we will of course drop them there, on the run we are doing. We have tested the route out for the last two days and if we continue with Hardraw on constantly in the timetable whilst Brunt Acres is closed we run the risk of missing a connecting train. Route 156 Aysgarth falls is closed, this is putting route 156 behind at two times in the schedule, rest assured we are on our way and we are late, due to doubling back to Worton to get back over the river to continue on our routes. Sorry for the inconvenience, we are reliant on the diversion route of the roadworks.
About Us
The Little White Bus is a community transport provider operating in the Upper Dales of Wensleydale and Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Driven by a combination of wonderful volunteers and paid drivers we provide scheduled bus services 6 days a week from Garsdale Station to Hawes, Hawes to Leyburn and Keld to Richmond.
We also provide a weekly service from Richmond to Northallerton and day trips from Hawes or Richmond between Spring and Autumn each year.
Our buses carry 41,000 passengers each year and cover 170,000 miles, and we are happy to welcome residents and visitors alike.
For some of these passengers it is the only social interaction they get each week. For some it is where they have met new friends, some of them even going on holiday together.
It is so much more than “just a bus service”, it is the social network that helps to connect and maintain life in the remote villages of the Upper Dales.

We also carry dogs, so they can enjoy days out, as much as their owners do!
Our dedicated team of paid and volunteer drivers are all Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) trained, and all have been Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) approved by North Yorkshire Council.
Our fleet of Mercedes Sprinter minibuses carry up to 16 passengers.
