Our Volunteers

The Little White Bus would not exist if it wasn’t for the dedicated team of volunteer drivers who give up their time to drive our vehicles.

the community

Coming from a wide range of backgrounds, such as police, army officers, veterinary surgeons, anaesthetists, bridge engineers, teachers, civil servants and one or two publicans, they all give up their time to give back to the community they live in, ensuring the services can continue.

They also do it for the fabulous, ever-changing scenery, and to meet passengers, both local and from farther afield who use the service.

If it were not for the volunteers the service may fade away, cutting people off from essential services and making it even harder for people to remain living in the villages in the Upper Dales.

If you would like to give up some of your time to volunteer for us, please click on the box below and apply, or call 01969 667400 and have a chat.

You will need to have the D1 vehicle permission on the back of your licence (which means you passed your test before 1st January 1997), but apart from that we will guide you through the process to get you behind the wheel and add your own marvellous stories to the Little White Bus history.
